About Jaime 

Jaime Mellott graduated from UVic Law in 2004 and was called to the BC Bar in 2005. Jaime practiced in non-profit, charity, and art law before leaving private practice to work as an advocate and decision-maker in various levels of government.

Jaime is an Assistant Deputy Minister in the Department of Community Services with the Government of Yukon. Her work focuses on improving accessibility of government services for Yukoners.

 

Jaime co-founded the Artists Legal Outreach and was awarded ProBono Law BC Lawyer or the Year. Jaime now volunteers her time hosting workshops and acting as emcee for storytelling nights at The Guild.
